The Shul in Byron Shire
A Place for Prayer, Learning and Connection
Nestled among the trees and surrounded by the sounds of birdsong, The Shul in Byron Shire offers a peaceful and welcoming space for prayer, learning, reflection, and connection.
Serving as the Jewish synagogue for the Byron Shire and Northern Rivers region, it provides a spiritual home for local families, visitors, travelers, and anyone seeking a meaningful Jewish connection.
The Heart of the Synagogue
At the heart of the synagogue is a Torah scroll donated by members of our community. A selection of Jewish books and learning materials is available for those who wish to study, explore Jewish wisdom, say a prayer, or spend a quiet moment in reflection.
Community Prayer Throughout the Year
Shacharit services and Torah reading are held every Shabbat morning in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Additional services take place on Rosh Chodesh and throughout the Jewish holidays.
For current service times and holiday schedules, please visit our Shabbat and Holiday pages.
Honoring the Memory of Loved Ones
If you are marking the yahrtzeit of a loved one, a minyan can be arranged on the anniversary of their passing so that Kaddish may be recited and their memory honored in a meaningful way.
Please feel free to contact Rabbi Tomer for assistance in arranging this.
Whether you visit regularly or are stepping through our doors for the first time,
The Shul in Byron Shire is your Jewish home a place to pray, learn, connect, and belong.
